I used to believe that a dream/nightmare had a lot of meaning.

I wrote down what I saw, head onto the internet and look up meanings of what it meant.

I stopped a long time ago for several reasons.

One of the things they said about dreams that I wish was true was that “If a friend appears in your dream, they want to see you in real life.”

Pleasant thought isn’t it? It could be any friend too.

One friend in particular made her way into my dream this morning. Her name will be Taia to conceal her identity.

I met Taia back in…third…grade? Somewhere around there.

We didn’t talk much. Almost never said a word to each other.

However the manners and polite & formal talk were still there.

Back in fourth grade, I asked her a question, it was random, very random, we were waiting in a line to go to lunch and I forgot how we walked out of the room together talking.

I asked her “What’s your favorite color?”

She answered “Green!”

Shocked with a big grin, I answered “Oh my god! I love Green too! Why do you like it!?”

In unison, we both said “Because it’s the color of nature!”

And right there, time stopped.

Hold that thought.

Fourth graders in love? [snorts]

Okay so fast forwarding to 8th grade, 4 years later.

I felt like we had such a..unspoken bond because we knew a lot of things about each oher while we barely talked [didn’t see each other for 6/8th grade]

Anyway. I saw her in my dream.

Totally different. Same facial shape, same eyes, same lips, same everything.

But her hair and taste in clothes changed

The dream ended because I knew it was a dream.

I just knew it wasn’t possible.

So here I am typing this, knowing that something like that wont even happen.

Why do I doubt the power of dreams?

Well…I dreamed of a friend who had passed.

Would that person who is not physically there anymore want to see someone?

I don’t know, maybe it could happen spiritually?

Regardless.

This has gone on for too long.
